Road Trip...via plane to Omaha...to meet baby Maya!

Greg, Kate, and I took a long overdue trip to Omaha to visit Stava, Steve, Ely, and Baby Maya. Every time I am near the water, I feel so at peace, so being at Carter Lake proved relaxing. Kate drove Ely crazy by playing with all of his favorite toys, I got snuggle time with Maya, Greg and Steve did some absolutely "necessary" technological updates to the house, and Stava and I squeezed in some retail therapy. I sure wish we lived closer because I have only been home a couple of days, and I already miss them:(

Happy 2nd Birthday, Ellie!

Katie's little girl, Ellie, is not so little anymore! She is already 2, and we helped to celebrate her big day. Kate and Ellie play so well together. It is fun to watch them interact. In the second picture, Ellie is having a Marilyn Monroe moment. In the second to last picture, Kate is clearly quite comfortable in her environment- so ladylike:)

You will be BFF's; I'm afraid you have no choice:)

Jenny and I took Kate and Emmy to the Chesterfield Pool, and they had so much fun! We are determined to make these girls the best of friends:)

18 months going on 18 years!

Sometimes when I put Kate in a sassy little skirt, I can't believe what a big girl she is! Wasn't I cuddling a floppy little baby just yesterday?

Kate's First Trip to Grant's Farm

Trying to take advantage of our last little bit of summer, we headed to Grant's Farm to feed the baby goats and spend some time outdoors. Kate didn't want to hold the bottle, but she held my hand while I fed the goats. She really liked the baby Clydesdale horse and the tram that tours the beautiful property. I sure hope the rumors aren't true about InBev eventually closing the AB parks because it would be a definite loss for St. Louis:(
